Younger leaders to lead the BJP
Mohan Bhagwat is the man on the spot as far as revamping the Bharatiya Janata Party is concerned. And, his mantra is clear and simple: “Hand over the reins to the younger crop.” He has fixed the age limit at sixty.

This dampens the spirits of erstwhile stalwarts of BJP such as Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi who were waiting in the wings to take over the reins from Lal Krishna Advani once he made way for them. Now, the senior leaders may be being banished to old age homes and their age-old wisdom may be destined to retire with them paving the way for a fresh approach from the younger leaders who are expected to revitalize the party and revive its past glory.

After infighting, one-upmanship and factional fights witnessed in the BJP in recent times plunging the party into abysmal depths, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief, Mohan Bhagwat, is taking the initiative to inject fresh blood into the sagging spirit of the party.

We have heard of political parties which have cultural wings. Political parties are known to use their cultural wings to meet their political ends all over the world.

But, it is different with the Bharatiya Janata Pary. The RSS is supposed to be an apolitical cultural organization which is trying to dictate terms the BJP which is a national entity as a political party. It is a different matter that many of the BJP party men are members of the RSS. The concept of cultural organizations that use political parties to meet their political ends throw up an unusual phenomenon that needs to be understood in greater detail. The relationship between the RSS and the BJP is clearer now than ever before.

One thing is clear: Hindutva will have a major role in the BJP-RSS agenda in the time to come. Hopefully, there would be fewer Rath Yatras with the exit of Lal Krishna Advani. Also, one hopes that there would be no repeat performances of incidents like the Jaswant Singh episode.

The battle lines are drawn. How far Mohan Baghwat’s mantra succeeds will depend upon how willingly the oldies bow out of important positions and how competently the younger leaders of the party take to their new assignment—to lead their party and, perhaps, the nation…

There has to be a strong and sensible opposition for which we need dynamic leaders and not an old man with outdated views.

BJP shud promote Sushma Swaraj as their main leader.the reason is her:1)good command on her language and good convincing power.2)she is lady and so have all the benefits(support) wat Ms. Sonia gandhi is getting as a lady.So she can get back the air in support of BJP.

Difficult to say that about Sushma Swaraj. She is not a mass leader. If she were one, she would have fought on a tough seat and won. She woudn’t have fought from a safe seat.

India badly needs two party rule and BJP can deliver it if they start having good policies and good governance at the core. Also BJP needs leaders with vision, who knows where they want to tke the country. Mr Advani and Mr. Rajnath Singh lacks that. May be people like Arun Jaitley and Arun Shourie be given chance.

BJP should go for recruitment of multi religious,
young, talented, creditable,university educated
graduates for induction in the party cadres.
These new cadre selection must be secular oriented
in thoughts with nation building upper most in
their minds. They should be given a lesson in
unity of all Indians and love for all human beings for success of party as a strong opposition and accountability.

Looks unlikely. They are slated to press ahead with their Hindutva agenda in the time to come.

Look how Congress chooses the new leaders. Jagan Mohan Reddy is their natural choice after untimely demise of YSR. And Sonia was their choice after Rajiv Gandhi's assassination.
Jitin Prasad, Jyoti Mirdha, Mausam Noor, Shruti Chaudhary, Muhammed Hamdullah Sayeed, Sachin Pilot, Rahul Gandhi, Jyotiraditya Sindhia all were well chosen in this so-called farcical Talent-hunt. BJP is a hundred times better then Congress Party, when it comes to democratically choose leaders.

Why should a sane person shed tears for the imminent and inevitable decline and demise in the near future of the BJP and its mentor RSS though the latter claimed to be apolitical as both of them proved to be equally and some time more corrupt compared to other political parties on the Indian scene. These leaders of the BJP and RSS did not leg behind in looting the public as well as public exchequer and were not even one notch lower than the Congress leaders who ushered the era of corruption in the Indian polity. However, it is also a fact that Indian electorate suffer from TINA (There is no alternative) syndrome.
