The maarket if flooded with numerous brands of bottled water. Some of them are never heard of. So, how can we say that bottled water is safe for drinking?

More often than not these bottled water bottles are filled up ”at source” in the higher reaches of the mountains where newly melted glaciers give way to ice cold and supposedly contamination free freshwater.

But since the snowfall on these glaciers results from the water evaporated from the plains we can never be too sure that the branded water bottles are safer than local ’potable’ water.

I suppose its still safer to stick to good old grandma’s boil-n-drink rule!
